Our operating practices and procedures
Engineering Staff
Engineers will travel to site in separate vehicles.
We will provide engineers with appropriate additional PPE including face masks, anti-bacterial wipes and hand sanitisers
Engineers will follow the 2m rule and keep apart from each other and others on site and avoid close working. If there will be situations where it is not possible or safe for engineers to distance themselves from each other by 2 metres the work will be stopped and re-assessed.
No work requiring skin to skin contact will be carried out
We will plan all work to minimise contact between trades and ourselves. We will inform daily briefings on our plans.
We will ensure re-usable PPE is thoroughly cleaned after use and not shared between engineers.
Single use PPE will be disposed of so that it cannot be reused
Stairs will be used in preference to lifts or hoists
If working in enclosed spaces, we will make sure ventilation is improved or air flow is good.
We will clean the inside of vehicles and not allow them to be used by others.
We will only attend site meetings when they are necessary. If we need to attend we will make sure :
a. Attendees will be two metres apart from each otherb. Rooms will be well ventilated / windows opened to allow fresh air circulation
c. We will consider holding meetings in open areas where possible.
Engineers have access to our portal and forms to report wellbeing and sites visited.
